Manager. As he notes GEM-TECH are a prestigious award for women in ICT, and

The ITU has launched the call for nominations for the GEM-TECH Awards.
Details are below.
These awards “celebrate outstanding personal or organizational achievements
and innovative strategies that harness information and communication
technologies (ICTs) for women's empowerment, promote women's meaningful
engagement with ICTs, including as producers and decision-makers in the
technology sector, and that create policies and investments that advance
women's digital equality.”
Please share through your networks as appropriate, and if you know an
organization or person that should be recognized, nominate them!

GEM-TECH Awards call for nominations
Sir / Madam,
Greetings from ITU. We are contacting you today to announce that
nominations are now open for the 2016 GEM-TECH Awards.
The annual GEM-TECH Awards, jointly organized by ITU and UN Women,
celebrate personal or organizational achievements and innovative strategies
to advance Gender Equality and Mainstreaming in the area of ICTs.
The only international prizes of their kind, the GEM-TECH Awards provide a
platform for advancing women’s meaningful engagement with ICTs and their
role as decision-makers and producers in the technology sector.
This year’s GEM-TECH Awards will be held at the Forum of Telecom World 2016
<http://telecomworld.itu.int/> in Bangkok, Thailand, from 14-17 November.
You can nominate a deserving organization, individual or policy maker in
any of the following categories:
*1.* *Apply Technology for Women's Empowerment and Digital Inclusion*
*2.* *Promote Women in the Technology Sector*
*3.* *Develop Gender Responsive ICT Governance, Policy and Access*
