Another marathon NYC PSC public hearing -  3hours+. With a strong
contingent from CWA Local 1109 <http://www.cwa1109.org/> in attendance,
sentiment was strongly supportive of not only halting the deprecation of
New York's utility wire infrastructure - widely seen as current Verizon
policy - but actually reinforcing it, whether through subsidy, divestiture,
or competition. Apart from our own representatives there were strong
statements from Bruce Kushnick of New Networks, Bob Masters of CWA, Chuck
Bell of the Consumers Union, and NYC Council Member Ben Kallos.  Go to 'see
