Attorneys for Megaupload, the Hong Kong-based Internet file-hosting service
that claimed 180 million users, were in U.S. District
Court in Alexandria, Va., on Friday asking that the charges against the
company be dismissed. Their claim: A foreign corporation lacking a U.S.
office cannot be served court papers and therefore cannot be prosecuted.
Judge Liam O'Grady is expected to rule later.
