Hi everyone,

I hope this email finds all y’all healthy and hanging in there to the
greatest extent possible. I know there is so much on everyone’s plates
right now. Still, we wanted to flag the NYC Council’s upcoming Tech
Committee Hearing
on “Ethical Implications of Using Artificial Intelligence and Automated
Decision Systems.” So far, there’s one bill on the agenda, CM Cumbo’s bill
about bias in employment ADS systems
Mercifully (maybe?), the hearing isn’t until Nov. 13. We’d be happy to
strategize or coordinate with anyone who is interested in the hearing.
