[ISOC-NY announcements]

 A couple of weeks back the NYC Council Committee on Technology held a two-hour
oversight hearing <https://youtu.be/SmYJLaTR6JE> on LinkNYC. Along with
distribution, and privacy, accessibility was a major topic. Early
criticisms have led the LinkNYC team to seriously up their game. Tonight we
will hear details.

replacing over 7,500 pay phones across the five boroughs with new
structures called Links. Each Link provides superfast, free public Wi-Fi,
phone calls, device charging and a tablet for access to city services, maps
