The webinar will analyze the crypto-currency environment as an
entrepreneurial industry with a value chain and distinct market
segments-private issuers, exchanges, miners, processors, governmental fiat
money, and others. We will discuss the major entrants in each segment,
their business models, technologies, associated eco-systems, the nature of
their competition, their rivalry with traditional payment systems, as well
as industry and company trends, and regulatory impacts on the emerging
industry.
           The webinar is entirely virtual, both participants and audience
members join via Webex video. This webinar is part of two CITI
projects.  The first is our project "The New Technologies of Money" in
conjunction with the Columbia University School for International Public
Affairs.  The project, along with this webinar, are supported by SIPA
through the Nasdaq Educational Foundation.  The second project is CITI's
