Cindy Gao has reached out to ISOC-NY with a request for volunteers to help
run the NYC Computer Science Opportunity Fair on April 7. It's an early
start but it will be great fun, and a chance to assist NYC's next
generation of coders.

The NYC CS Opportunity Fair (CS Fair) <http://www.csfair.nyc/> is the
city's largest annual college and career exploration event for public high
school students studying computer science. This one-day event is designed
to excite students about the myriad educational and employment
opportunities that result from studying CS.

This year is the event's third anniversary and will showcase both the
ambition of the new 10-year CS4All
<http://www.csnyc.org/computer-science-all> initiative and the engagement
of our city's growing tech sector.

*With 2000+ students and 100 booths in attendance, we'll need A LOT of
volunteers to help us run the day.* We are shooting for at least 100
volunteers to help with the day.

We're asking volunteers to commit to a minimum of 2.5 hours for the event.
Some tasks (like setup) are as early as 7:30am. Other commitments are later
in the day. Volunteer tasks include: helping students w/ hands-on activity
in the Maker Space, running registration tables, keeping time for speaker
panels, distributing lunch and gifts, serving at a "mobile help station,"
and directing guests to spaces throughout the building.

It will be on *April 7* at the Armory Track in Washington Heights.

*Interested volunteers should sign up
