It's a fair while since our colleagues at BetaNYC did a talk - they are big
on workshops, and hack sessions. But in their 2016 plan they vowed to get
the program going again. The change is that they've shifted to lunchtimes.
They opened the 2016 with a blockbuster, bringing Greg Bloom up from DC to
explicate the Open Referral Initiative, something of a moonshot, to cure
disfunctional social service management. Greg was very complimentary about
Bloomberg era reforms which make NYC something of a poster child of
interagency data exchange.
