ConsenSys and BlockApps are hosting a decentralized app (dApp) hackathon
in on the 14-16th of August '15.

Friday evening 6pm, Saturday and Sunday all day. Sunday evening demo.

Join us to develop for next generation blockchains and the web!

Brooklyn, NY

We are looking for participants with widely varying skillsets:

Backend development
You will be writing 'smart contracts' in the javascript-like language
'solidity'. An understanding of basic cryptography is useful but not
necessary.

Frontend development
You'll be embedding the backend onto your frontend-framework of choice.
A good knowledge of JavaScript is required.

Domain expert
You are a specialist within some field - business, science, law or
otherwise. You have a vision of how to power your field with
decentralized applications and you'd like the opportunity to have a
full-stack developer team to support you.

BlockApps lets any web developer write and deploy apps using javascript
and our RESTful api.
At the last hackathon, participants learned and wrote interesting dApps
in less than a day.

Fast
Over the course of 48 hours, teams of three will brainstorm and
prototype a decentralized application for deployment on the ethereum
blockchain.

Teamwork
We will match applicants with their teams according to their interests.
Feel free to apply even if you are not an already convinced blockchain
enthusiast!
Send us your application including your preferred role, a link to
previous work and a short introduction here:

All projects developed during the hackathon will remain the property of
the team that created it.
