[isoc-ny] MEETUP TUESDAY: InterCommunity 2015 Global Member Meeting New York node

ISOC-NY announcements announce at lists.isoc-ny.org
Fri Jul 3 13:48:25 PDT 2015

As an Internet Society member you should have already received plenty of
notice of ICOMM15 coming up next week. Although ISOC ran several Global
INET meetings in the 90s this, historically, is the first genuine full on
global meet since then, the difference being that this time it is
distributed, online, and via nodes. As mentioned it is split into two
sessions to accommodate different timezones. But each session, while having
the same agenda, will have a different line up of speakers, so both are
worth attending - as long as you don't mind missing some sleep! But our NYC
node takes place on a leisurely Tuesday afternoon, so the worst of it is
you might have to take time off work. Understandably this may not be
possible, so if you want to drop by just for the reception at 6:30pm that's
fine. No registration required for that. It will be worth it, just to meet
Raul, if nothing else. The remote participation interface (aka Digicell) is
impressive btw and well worth checking out -
